[Claude's returning from one of his favourite haunts -- the library -- when he hears someone running up behind him. He glances over his shoulder and nearly jumps out of his skin when the person is both running at him and lightly smacking him on the arm.]
Gah! [He'd already been reaching for the sword at his hip instinctively, but he relaxes when he realises who it is.] Horus, what are you doing?
[ His eyes are on Claude's hand, but he seems more amused than threatened. Part of him would've had fun with that kind of reaction.. ah well. He keeps his hands to himself though, holding them up in faux-surrender. ]
Anyone would be surprised if you ran at them like that.
[No, he's definitely jumpy. The last time someone ran at him from behind in Camelot it was to try and kill him, so his paranoia from back home has absolutely extended to this place. He sighs.]
My circumstances changed shortly after you and I met. I need you to call me Anubis instead of Horus.
[ He's not going to beat around the bush about it for sure. The expression he wears shows he doesn't think this is an unreasonable request even with no background information.]
[ It's a long and complicated story, and no one seems to have all the pieces, even Set. Horus thinks for a moment where to start, then settles in a truth without details. ]
There's someone from my world here, but I think he's from a time before he recognizes me. If he does, then all he'll see when he looks at me is death. I wish to know him without our war in the way.
Anubis is the protector lost souls and the hopeless, who guides the dead to the underworld, so no mentioning I'm a sky god. Set's as thick as honey, he's not going to question my wings.
[ Horus sees nothing wrong with that sentence there. ]
[He laughs.] It seems we have a mutual friend! That Set is a terrible liar, so I imagine he's just as terrible about picking up on when he's being told lies, too.
Anyway, lost souls and the dead -- seems easy enough to remember.
[ He's such a bad liar.. Horus looks happy just thinking about it. ]
I have many good reasons to believe he's not the villain everyone declares he is, but "Horus" is destined to kill Set and that's all he sees when he looks upon me. I can't pretend forever, but at least for now, maybe I can have the chance he'll never give me to get close to him. Your help in that is appreciated.

I was looking for you.

Anyway... To what do I owe the pleasure?

That's fine, but why the sudden change?
[He can hazard a guess, but he'll play dumb for now.]

Is there anything else I should know, or any details I shouldn't let slip, besides just the name?

[He supposes Horus would lie about it even if he was, otherwise Claude would just go right ahead and warn Set.]
Well... Fair enough. Just play nice with him and I'll keep your secret.

[ IF YOU KNOW WhAT HE mEANS ]
Thank you.

[Impenetrably dense? Probably.]

[ He laughs. The entirety of the Egyptian gods are about to suffer Horus's patience with Set for at least 80 years. ]
But I will let you go, now the matter is settled. I'm sure you are busy.
